History:
Rhydian currently lives in Birmingham where he attends university, but was bought up in Powys, Wales where his family still live. Rhydian is a classical baritone singer and has had vocal training for the past seven years. He sings popular opera similar to Russell Watson and Il Divo, if he released an album he’s convinced the “whole of Wales would buy it”. In his youth Rhydian was the strongest bench presser in Wales, but gave up weight lifting in his early teens to follow his passion for music. Rhydian sees taking part in the show as an opportunity to bring his style of music to the masses.

Well Albert, if you can’t see the brilliance of Rhydian’s talent and his versatility, maybe you should frequent Pantomines for the rest of your life and let the rest of us enjoy and appreciate the greatest performances seen on XFactor since it first aired on TV. If you don’t like it don’t watch it and leave the rest of us to enjoy Rhydian’s supreme talent in peace.
I sincerely hope Rhydian wins the 2007 XFactor because that is exactly what he has - XFACTOR!!!!

I’m hoping that Rhydian will win, because he is, as has been said, head and shoulders above all the other contestants. But, even if he doesn’t, he’s had so much exposure for his talent that I think a brilliant future is assured.

Avsolutely brilliant performances which I have been leistening to evry since Saturday when they were performaned.
I have been voting for Rhydian for weeks now. I am hoping that he will WIN this competition as he is the best in this competition. He has a outstanding voice and amazing talent.I am looking forward to the day he starts touring as i will be there enjoying his performance.

I would just like to say that I cried tonight when Rhydian didn’t win the xfactor. I think this was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. This mans talent far out weighs any other contestant in the competition and I feel if it is supposed to be a show based on singing ability then there was only ever going to be one winner and that would have been him but I certainly do believe that we will be seeing him on television for a very long time and I wish him the very best for the future in his career ahead. Well done Rhydian you were most definitely a true performer and I look forward to buying your first of many albums
I am upset that Rhydian lost, but that doesn’t mean its the end for him. He has a long future ahead of him. Leon needed this big break more than Ryhdian . Ryhdian is already world class so he doesn’t need the x-factor title. he is a winner in my ears and eyes anyway. with or without the x-factor title. i am happy for Leon.

Rhydian should have won, he was far better than Leon, the last six acts were all OK but he really was much better, Leon not
sure if you will make it, but you are very sweet.
What a joke!! Scotland has voted for another no hoper like Mick-elle McManus. (whom? you ask. Exactly!!) What a pity the scot’s fanatical nationalism has blinded them from seeing real talent. Rhydian may not have won X-Factor but I predict his LONG international singing and SPEAKING career has just begun.

I THINK THAT IT WAS SUCH A SHAME THAT RHYDIAN DIDN’T WIN THE X FACTOR LAST NIGHT. RHYDIAN HAS GOT SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND A LOT OF HEART. HE WILL GO FAR IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS.
I VOTED FOR RHYDIAN EVERY WEEK, AND EVERY WEEK HE GETS BETTER AND BETTER. WELL DONE FOR MAKING IT TO THE FINAL. WELL DONE RHYDIAN.

We - my family and I - were utterly shocked when Rhydian did not win the X Factor. His voice is superb and he will definitely have a long career.
We asked - why did this happen?
One answer could be that most of the voters need musical training, or possibly hearing tests. Unbelievable.
However, as Rhydian said - all is for a reason - and he will do brilliantly. We are waiting for him to record his first CD - he connects at a deeper level …… We look forward to hearing him sing for many many years, bringing real joy to the hundreds and thousands - and in future - millions - who truly appreciate his amazing gift.
As much as I hate x-factor and all it stands for… Rhydian is a class above anything else on that program- it will be better for him not to had won the tacky title of x-factor winner. Would defo buy any album he records.
I was left speechless on Saturday night, convinced that the title was yours and just looking forward to sitting down and enjoying that wonderful voice, to then hear Leon’s name called out. I just cannot believe it and still feel so sad that you were robbed of the x factor title.
Anyway, on a positive note, you will have a fantastic musical career ahead of you and I cant wait to buy your first album. I’ve told my Dad (your rugby coach Phil Davies) to let me know if you’ll ever be singing live in Wales and I’ll be on the first flight from France! Anyway, good luck for the future, Saturday nights aren’t going to be the same any more!

Rhydian has an amazing voice, way better than Leon’s. Hopefully Lloyd Webber will recognise that and ultimately he’ll have the better deal. Wonder what Simeon thinks? Clearly the judges thought he was betetr. What were Joe public thinking?????

Sorry to say this albert but do you want your ears testing ,i think you should be in pantomime ,rhydian has got talent through and through and i like many others was gutted when he did not win. I heard on the news that 80% of voters could not get through to vote for rhydian so i guess he would have won if not for that ,another phone scam that hopefully has not cost rhydian his chance a becoming a great superstar.I am not being bias as i am neither scottish or welsh and rhydian was by far the best singer out of all the contestants and RHYDIAN [WE LOVE YOU]

I Agree that rhy’s was an amazing singer !
But Leon was amazing too the were both good in there own way and under no circumstances should he be called a pub singer !!!!
Also the voting was not fixed the lines were jammed for leon too !
We all know Rhydian will go far with or with out the X-factor and now so will Leon no matter who won they both would still have went far so why lie about a voting “fix” as he will still go far and will still be in the X-factor tour and people are now giving rhy’s a bad name of being a bad loser which im sure you will all disagree with ?
Well they both were amazing but leon won its over deal with it .. it quite petty really because they were bothe really good !

I hope rhydian makes a cd with all the songs that he sung on x factor.Leon did get better as the weeks went on but rhydian was the best,one reason i think that leon won is because most of scotland voted for him and scotland is a huge place .i think the duo he sang with kylie was rubbish but rhydian and katherine were superb,i was another one that could not get through and i tried loads of times .Leon only won by 1% so come on you record companys get your finger out and give rhydian a contract,i know you won”t regret it.

I have to say that I didn’t watch the X Factor but I saw Rhydian at the Grand Slam 2008 Party at the Millenium Stadium and was just amazed. He is absolutley fantastic and i wouldn’t hesitate to buy his album.
The power in his voice was awesome and he completly filled the stadium, i even had a tingling feeling which only happens when we all sing the welsh national anthem on International Days.
The power and the purity of His voice! His connects and moves people! A Rare Rare Talent. In the End I don’t believe that the X Factor team KNEW what to do with him! A singer who without backing can sing Danny Boy note perfect and live! Thats Real Talent!
The difference between Leon and Rhydian was less than 1%. Less than 1% isn’t a clear winner especially when the lines were so bad!
So the failure of the telephone voting did make a difference!
In the end Leon sang first and I thought he was Excellent!! very very good! Louis urged scotland to vote because he said Leon could win! Actually it was a whole 10 minutes before Rhydian sang.
Then came perfection! what a rendition! He simply blew Leon away!
Another key factor was Kylies act with Leon which was a Media master stroke! She made Leon look good!
